As the bushes flourished, I learned the rhythm of tea farming: pruning, weeding, and harvesting. We grew black tea, and every cup brewed from our own leaves became a symbol of connection and care.
Even in Nairobi, my morning chai ritual remained sacred. Ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, star anise, milk, and black tea no conversation before that first sip.
Green, white, and my favorite purple tea entered my life. Each tea served a purpose: black to awaken, purple to soothe. Purple tea became my evening companion, promoting digestion and heart health.
I moved to France. Cold mornings, unfamiliar shelves, and no purple tea. The soul of my mornings was missing. I began thinking of sustainable ways of getting my tea from Kenya. And that's when the importation idea arose.
Out of necessity and nostalgia, Zamba Teas came to life. A brand built to share Kenya's rich tea heritage with the world.
