In the fertile foothills of Mt. Kenya, my grandfather a teacher turned farmer planted the first tea seedlings with our family. I was a little girl, proudly supervising the planting. That moment sparked a lifelong love for tea.

From Seed to Story One Chapter at a Time
1990's
Growing Traditions
As the bushes flourished, I learned the rhythm of tea farming: pruning, weeding, and harvesting. We grew black tea, and every cup brewed from our own leaves became a symbol of connection and care.
City Life, Same Ritual
Even in Nairobi, my morning chai ritual remained sacred. Ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, star anise, milk, and black tea no conversation before that first sip.
Discovering New Teas
Green, white, and my favorite purple tea entered my life. Each tea served a purpose: black to awaken, purple to soothe. Purple tea became my evening companion, promoting digestion and heart health.
A New Continent, A Missing Cup
I moved to France. Cold mornings, unfamiliar shelves, and no purple tea. The soul of my mornings was missing. I began thinking of sustainable ways of getting my tea from Kenya. And that's when the importation idea arose.
